First Steps
The first step in my process was conducting a discovery call with the client to gain a deeper understanding of their goals, priorities, and target audience. Through this conversation, I identified that the landing page played a key role in driving brand awareness, while the form was essential for growing their client base. Understanding the brand identity they aimed to project, along with their target market, allowed me to make informed design decisions that aligned with their objectives. This research-driven approach ensured that every design element contributed to a cohesive and user-centered experience.

One of my client’s primary concerns was ensuring that users clearly understood the business was being sold. To address this, I requested high-quality images that effectively communicated the core value of custom cake design and creation. By prioritizing visuals that showcase the craftsmanship and uniqueness of the offerings, I aimed to create a seamless and intuitive experience that reassures customers and maintains brand continuity.

1. Visual Showcase: We incorporated images of the local area to help visitors feel more familiar and connected with their new surroundings.
Bringing it All Together
By incorporating all of my client’s requirements and design elements, I transformed her website into a seamless and engaging user experience. I utilized playful textures and soothing colors to evoke a relaxed atmosphere while maintaining clean typography and approachable, bubbly icons. To align with the client’s goal of simplicity and intuitive navigation, I designed a minimal four-page structure, ensuring users could effortlessly explore the site without feeling overwhelmed.
