Objectives

  • Create a blogging website of your choosing

  • Build a brand and logo

  • Build an Instagram feed

  • Track Analytics

First Steps

Our initial step in this process was to establish a business foundation that would support our blogging efforts. We identified our target market as newcomers to the Northwest Arkansas (NWA) area—individuals who may feel uncertain or disconnected—and aimed to provide them with the guidance and support they need to feel at home in their new community.

Logo Design

For the logo, I chose to incorporate earthy tones and natural elements that reflect the rolling hills and scenic beauty of the Ozarks. Additionally, we aimed for a gender-neutral aesthetic throughout the site to ensure that every visitor feels welcomed and represented.

Website Design

1. Visual Showcase: We incorporated images of the local area to help visitors feel more familiar and connected with their new surroundings.

2. Blog Section – Hacks & Hints: This creatively named section provides useful tips and insights, aligning with our ongoing theme of support and guidance.

3. About Me Slide: We included an "About Me" slide for each group member to introduce themselves and clarify which part of the blog they contribute to, fostering transparency and connection.

4. Interactive Quiz: To further personalize the experience, we added a fun quiz that helps visitors discover their personality type and receive tailored activity recommendations based on their results.

Quiz Design

To personalize the quiz experience for each visitor, I used a platform called Opinion Stage. This tool allowed me to input custom questions, with each answer contributing a specific percentage toward a corresponding personality type. Additionally, it provided live tracking of responses, giving us real-time insights into visitor results and preferences.

Final Website

Social Media Page

In order to reach our client base we needed to promote our website within social media platforms. We chose Instagram as it was the easiest way to market our information. BeloTo effectively reach our target audience, we recognized the importance of promoting our website through social media platforms. We chose Instagram as our primary marketing channel due to its accessibility and strong visual impact. Below are examples of posts I created to promote the housing sector of our blog, each designed to engage newcomers and provide helpful, welcoming information.

Website Analytics

Our analytics revealed that our Instagram promotions led to a significant increase in website traffic. By promoting select posts, we successfully gained multiple new subscribers. This marketing approach also resulted in a higher click-through rate and a lower bounce rate, indicating stronger engagement and retention among our visitors.

Final Thoughts

Through this project, I gained valuable knowledge in both social media marketing and web analytics. I learned how strategic posts and promotions on social platforms can significantly drive traffic to a website and, more importantly, build visitor trust and credibility within a business.
